A customer signed a personal guaranty we provided but added his title,
President, below his signature. I think this is a problem. The V.P. of Sales
says I am being too fussy. What do you think?
Answer: I agree with you.
I have been told that adding a title suggests that the signer is not fully
aware that he or she is personally liable for the debt and this could make
the guaranty unenforceable.
