Doctor Credit

I suspect an applicant for business credit is trying to commit credit fraud. I have found some serious 'inconsistencies' while evaluating the applicant for credit. How should I proceed? Should I confront the applicant company?

Answer: I do not recommend confronting any applicant. I recommend simply refusing to extend credit to the applicant, and insisting on payment in advance. If pressed for an explanation, it should be sufficient to state that the applicant company does not meet your current standards for open account terms and leave it at that.
