Should I send a trade reference request to a vendor I know a potential customer buys from, even if the vendor was not listed on the credit application?

Answer: We agree that it is acceptable to contact vendors you know an applicant buys from. We disagree about whether it is acceptable to send inquiries to suppliers that you think the applicant company might be purchasing from.
