The last three shipments we have made to a particular customer
in New Jersey have been at least one box short. We have tracked the packages
through the overnight parcel delivery service, and found in each case
all the boxes were accounted for until the last leg of the journey…from
the local distribution center to the customer. Somehow, at least one
package has gone missing during the 20-mile drive from the local hub
to our customer. Any suggestions?
Answer: Yes, contact the
company. Ask for loss prevention. Discuss the problem. Provide copies
of documentation showing that in three of three cases, products were
lost between the local center and the customer. Then, ask loss prevention
to take action to make certain that the problem does not recur. Usually,
when employees learn they are being watched, they are more cautious.
This tactic has worked for each of us in the past. |
