One of the five C’s of credit is Character. The definitions
I have read suggest that this is a completely subjective factor in the
credit decision-making process. Do you agree?
Answer: No. Creditors
prefer to deal with individuals as owners or companies or senior managers
of corporations who have a reputation for integrity and honesty. In addition
to these two character traits, Character also refers to an owner or manager’s
demonstrated ability to successfully manage and grow a business.
