Increasing the cycle times on collections and dispute resolution
A creditor can improve both debt collection and dispute resolution
by reducing the cycle times of every process that the credit department
controls. For example, if you normally call ten days after invoices go
past due, cut the grace period to five days. If you normally take 72
hours to obtain proof of delivery for a customer, do so on line to reduce
the delay from days to hours - or even minutes.
