When I call customers, I am sometimes placed on what seems
to be permanent credit hold. Any suggestions?
Answer: Sure. Never wait on hold more than five minutes. After five minutes,
hang up and wait fifteen minutes. Then call the same customer back, indicate
that you called 20 minutes ago [a true statement], and your call was
placed on hold [also true], and that your call terminated [also true]
and now you need to speak to someone right away [also true].
